Soda started it all

While waiting (im)patiently for their brewery license for Annex Ales in 2016, our founders Andrew Bullied and Erica O’Gorman began crafting our award-winning root beer. We took the craft beer ethos and applied it to soda. Since then, we’ve been proving that soda can be special again through our bold, small-batch craft sodas using whole ingredients, nostalgic recipes, and uncompromising methods.

Not just coloured sugar water

We sweat the small stuff, putting real ingredients over half measures, and full flavour over function. Gone are the artificial colours, flavours, sweeteners, and caffeine that are routinely found in “craft” and big-name soda brands alike. Every can is full of flavour you can taste and trust, like the bite of fresh-pressed ginger in our Ginger Beer or the warmth from vanilla in our Craft Cola. Whether poured over ice, mixed into something stronger, or cracked open straight from the can, we’re making sodas worth celebrating.

No gods, no masters

This one’s a biggy, and it’s been a part of our ethos since day one. It’s our way of saying we prioritize doing what’s right because it’s right to us, not because we’re directed to do so by some external authority.

We look at everything we do through a critical lens to make sure it’s something we’re proud of. And even once we’re proud of it, we’re not done. Nothing is sacred or precious and everything is a candidate for improvement.
